Greetings friends. Happy hump day. That phrase always makes me giggle.
Anywho, we had teacher work days..a.k.a. trainings…Monday and Tuesday and the children came back today. Bless their hearts, they were so tired.
Today was just about procedures and changes for this semester. We started a new morning journal for word work and a new math journal during calendar. They went well for day one but its just day one. J I will post more about that later. First, I need to assess if it’s going to be a flop or not. HAHA!
I decided we needed a new Listening Center sheet and created this ditty tonight. I want my kids to start breaking down the story by begging, middle, and end. We will see if they can do it. J Feel free to download and leave me a comment if you have any other suggestions for this center. For those of you still in your pj’s, does it feel like summer because I feel like you have been off forreeevvveerrrr! LOL. Enjoy your time off. I’m pretty sure you’re gonna need the rest.
Oh, and I forgot the coolest part of my day! I got an email today from Frog Street Press asking me to present this summer at the Splash conference in Dallas this summer. OMG! I am sooo excited!!! You should totally go and then we could become for real life BFFs!!!
That's AWESOME!!! Congratulations!!!!! I love Dallas, by the way!
ReplyDeleteAnd I like this listening center sheet. Thanks for sharing!
(and yes, it sort of feels like summer)

ReplyDeleteCongrats! Love the new sheet, especially since we start working on beginning, middle and end next week! Thanks! :)
ReplyDeleteI love your listening center sheet! Thank you! Congrats on Frog Street! I wish my school had the money to send me! (No workshops or conferences this year. :( I have a brother in Dallas, so I'd have a place to stay) I'll have to research and see if I can find funds to pay for it! :)
