Schools out for SUMMER!! Yay! Now, I realize that some of you
may still be in school and I am so glad it’s not me I know you can hang
in there…summer
break is near!
Last year, I was shedding tears of joy on the last day of
school. I couldn’t wait to get rid of the eye twitch I had developed, lol. This
year, it was bitter sweet. I think some of those kids love me more than my
family, lol. There were tears shed by students and me. I am SO grateful to have
a year like that. My class this year had its hot messes (included myself at
times) but they were so witty and they totally got my humor. We had lots of
laughs together. Or at least, I think they were laughing WITH me. J
So, another chapter closed and now I’m getting ready for the
next. I hope you enjoyed my
Blogiversary! I totally did and THANKS for all of your sweet comments. Ya’ll
are the bestest fake? real? online friends in the world. I am so excited
to see what the next year brings. J
I know my blogiversary is over, but I will still honor my BOGO sale through TODAY!! Whoot whoot!!
Speaking of next year, last year I had a jungle theme in my
classroom. I liked it, but wanted more bright colors in my room. So, I created
this little ditty. It’s on sale right now for 50% off too. Click the picture
for more details.
I plan on making more themes too but want to know what you
need for next year? What’s your theme? I am in a creating mood and having fun
doing it! Have a great day! Love and virtual hugs!!
I so used to look forward to choosing my theme for the year-we did New York City, China, Hollywood, etc. But we are in a new building and are very limited to what we can put up on the walls-boo!

I would love to see anything pirate themed/red & white polka dots for my classroom!! I have had that theme for quite a few years now, but I always add a little more each year. :)

Super cute! I am doing a garden theme this year as in "Kinder-garden" hehe! I would love anything garden themed! bees, ladybugs, snails, flowers, you name it. Love your stuff! Keep it coming!
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogiversary to you! I just found your blog and it's amazing. Our school's theme for next year is ocean/beach. I'm attempting to decorate my classroom with a tropical beach theme. I think it'll be bright & colorful.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the great posts. I teach first so I hope I'm not breaking any rules crossing over to "K". I am planning on starting the year with a Pirate theme.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking about an Owl theme or a rainbow theme. Your zebra print theme is super cute, so maybe that will be the theme.
ReplyDeleteI am going to have a pink, blue, and black theme this year!

I had the exact same end of the year feelings as you did! I've never had a year like this! One little boy even said he wished he had failed first grade so he could stay with me.
ReplyDeleteI am going with a polka dot theme I got from the Clutter Free Classroom recently. It coordinates with a Thirty-One print!

What? You are finished already? I am so not bitter about this as I write report cards, grade assessments, pack up the room, blah, blah, blah. The only thing that is saving you from my wrath is that I get to meet you this summer!!! Woohoo. Loving the thought. I definitely love you more than those five year olds who will give their hearts away to the first grade teacher sooner than you know! Okay I will stop raining on your parade and act like a grown-up. You can gloat...
