Last day of Picture Palooza. That's all I have in me. LOL! This is one of my favorite funnies. I tell my daughter all the time that if she drops it like it's hot, then I will too. Haha..she is mortified!
These are pictures of our Read to Self and Listen to Reading time. Students get their book baskets for Read to Self. Each basket has a mini pointer and a finger pointer in it, along with several books. For Listen to Reading, students can choose a book with a CD, a Leapfrog tablet, or a Leapfrog TAG reader. They really love doing the Daily 5!
These final pictures are more personal than educational but I thought I would share. This is my daughter's Sweet 16 party. She is purple obsessed! My favorite part was creating the purple candy bar. I ordered most of the candy from Oriental Trading.
Ahh, my sweet hormonal crazy girl. I thank God for her. I like to think we look alike. I know God created her for me even though he didn't use me to create her. She was definitely born from my heart!
Hubs, birthday girl, and I. I can't believe she is 16! They don't make big girl panties big enough for some mom days. :)
Last but not least, this me being a gingerbread girl. Hubs was kinda embarrassed that I wanted to go in the kiddy section of a holiday display to take this pic. Um, hello, I am a kindergarten teacher. My littles would love this!
Here's to being excited about everything this semester brings! :)
What a beautiful party! So pretty you both are!
ReplyDeleteI love the pictures of your D5, too!
Thank you for sharing!
I'm so sad that the pictures have come to an end. I really looked forward to it each day. You seem like such a fun person to be around.
ReplyDeleteThe party looked gorgeous. My daughter is only 8 right now. I guess I have 8 more years to plan her Sweet 16.
Enjoy your Sunday!

What a beautiful family you have! Your daughter's party looked ah-mazing! I love the color purple as well :)
ReplyDeleteI have been doing literacy stations (Debbie Diller) in my classroom, but I am thinking of switching it to Daily 5. I love how you are using the LeapFrog materials in your classroom. I was thinking of doing a donor's choose project to get some for my classroom.

Loved these pictures!! I also have a purple obsessed daughter, but she is only 6. Her favorite number is 16.(this was her "number" in her kindergarten class) We have even seen a few purple cars here in Nashville that she goes crazy about. Thanks for sharing the pictures.
ReplyDeleteAw, the Gingerbread Girl is awesome!! And I love that pointer finger--I've got to get a few!
ReplyDeleteWhat great photos! You've sure got a lot going on this year, but know you probably wouldn't have it any other way. Looking at your Daily 5 photos has me excited for the day when headphones will all be wireless.
