SUPER Heroes in The Hizouse!

Greetings friends. I’m on the last few hours of Spring Break. Big tears here! Actually, it’s a four day week which makes going back to school a little easier. This week has been a good one for me. My kids and I don’t have the same SB and at first I was pretty upset about that BUT I was able to get some stuff done this week with them at school (including catching up on some much needed rest). I redid my kitchen on Monday and I am so happy with the end result. I LOVED my black, white and lime green kitchen but I LOVE my gray and yellow kitchen even more. Here are pictures of the end results.

At this very moment I am printing my Easter centers and getting ready for the week. It’s procrastination at its finest people. :) Here is a preview of my Easter centers in case you are interested. I made them last year which is great for me because I don’t have to do a ton to be ready for this week. My Easter Unit is on SALE right now too. :)

I did manage to make a new unit this week while off. I am SUPER excited about it (pun intended). We started teaching C-Scope this year because Texas is its own country and we have our own curriculum.

Anywho, I thought they were nuts for teaching pronouns the second week of school. After further examining our curriculum, I noticed that we were hitting nouns, pronouns, verbs, etc. pretty hard early on in the school year so I decided to create the ELA Super Heroesanything to increase engagement of the littles. I have been sitting on this for several months waiting for a chance to create this set so I am excited to FINALLY share this with you.

So, meet Nelly Noun, Patty Pronoun, Abe Adjective, Sequencing Sally, Syllable Sam, and Victor Verb...our ELA SUPER HEROES!! My kids love this team! I created charts for each of them and added cards for sorting and practice. So, today I am posting this set. It includes how to create the charts, chart examples, flash cards examples of each area, and a corresponding student writing sheet. In April, I plan to add six mini units, one for each hero with center activities, book examples, readers, and whole group games. J I hope your kids love this set as much as mine do. Click the pictures for more info.

Have a great week friends! Love and virtual hugs.

  2. I love your kitchen. That chalkboard by your table is fabulous! You have inspired me to try to incorporate that somewhere in my kitchen! :) Hope your first day back goes smoothly!
