Growing Kinders!!

Growing Kinders is a super cute blog I follow and she has posted some really great sight word activities and freebies. All of the comments from other teachers are great too! You should check it out.

Her post got me thinking about one thing I have done to help with letters, sounds, and sight words. Last year I had a chica tree on my front door and as I introduced the two lettrs of the week, I would put them on the door. I would say "chica chica boom boom, what's the password to our room?" Then, I would point to a letter and the student would have to say the letter and sound to get into the classroom. You could do this with sight words after you get through the alphabet.
