Latest Obsession and a SWEET GIVEAWAY!!

I am SO excited to share with you my class’s latest obsession toy lifesaver!! Seriously, we are in need of a twelve step program already. Who knew this would make my life so much easier! Have I grabbed your attention yet?

Well, I have teamed up with a great company, Homeroom Teacher. They graciously sent me Learning Resources’ Time Tracker. Let me first say that ya’ll know I am completely honest and if I don’t like something, I am going to tell you! Well, I really like this product by my KIDS…they LOVE it! It is super simple to use, though I had to actually read the directions but it wasn’t hard.  I try not to be like my husband and figure stuff out on my own. That is how we “put together” a Wal Mart shelf by nailing it to the wall!! Seriously, not reading directions are grounds for divorce. Anyway, focus Crystal. Ya’ll know I have the attention of a gnat!

I love this product because it keeps time for you, duh! Seriously, I am “schedule challenged.” The Time Tracker is great because it gives you visual cues with the three lights (green, yellow, red…like a stop light, somebody is clever!) and you can assign a noise to each level. My kids ask me to set it anytime we are doing a task. I haven’t ringed my bell since I got it. The timer tells them when to begin and when it’s time to stop. I set it when we do morning work and they know when it gets to yellow, they need to almost be finished. When we go to centers, I set the timer to let students know when to rotate to the next center and when it’s time to clean up. You can choose the time for all three levels and assign a noise to each level of you want to. My kids like the noise we go with noise. Imagine that! The best part is my kids don’t feel micromanaged. It’s like a game to them but has kept them on their toes and moving along at a great pace.  Love, love, love!
