New theme / Summer Lovin!

Greetings friends. I am so excited to bring you this late blog post because I can! Haha! Yep, I am officially on summer break. I have been out since 2:30 p.m. Friday afternoon and boy did we hit the ground running. Friday night my brother in law graduated from West High School. Then, the next day (my FIRST official day to sleep in) our power went out (because of nearby construction on the highway...ugh!) and these fools my kids were in my room at 7:30 a.m. Eek! They wouldn't leave me along. Haha! We wrapped up our weekend Sunday by celebrating my youngest (yikes!) 13th birthday with a pool party at my parents’ house. Good times people. Good times.

By Monday I was more than beat but luckily (said with EXTREME sarcasm) my daughter has driver’s ed. for the ENTIRE month of June and I get to drop off and pick her up every morning. I’m sooo lucky! Seriously, be jealous. You only wish that you could give up every morning of this month. Haha! She really needs it though so it’s worth it. I’m kinda scared to drive with her so this is a MUCH better alternative.

Today my team and I met to work on our year at a glance for next year. I’m so excited to have it done! I am in charge of science and social studies next year, which I am totally pumped about. That also means that I will be writing more science and social studies lessons. Yay!

Before leaving for the summer, I went ahead and switched out some of my bulletin boards. I wasn’t going to change my jungle theme because I love it so much but Carson Dellosa asked if they could send me a few things from a new theme of theirs (Moose and Friends) and of course I said YES! I LOVE the colors (turquoise, purple, orange). Here is a sneak peak. I bought several more things because my boards and quite large. I also go brighter fabric. I love the turquoise and purple! I plan to add some chevron print in there too. Stay tuned!! These pics just don't do it justice.

If you are looking for room themes I also have oodles and oodles of them in my store. Here are a few examples. Click here to go to my store

I haven’t created anything yet (this summer) but I did make these cute place cards for one of my bestie’s little boy’s first birthday parties this week. Say that ten times fast. Sheesh! Place cards, signs, and water bottle covers oh my!

I plan to start working on the rest of my early finisher’s tubs tomorrow. My goal is to get the rest of the year made by July. I also want to work on a few more units for next year. Lots to do in between my job as a human taxi mom. J Also, we will start our book study this week. Posts will start on Freebielicious so make sure you follow there. It’s the yellow brick road!

So, what are you doing right now? Have you had any FUN yet? I took my kids to see Epic and we liked it. Grace (16) said it was a little slow. I jumped on a few parts. Yes, I am a big ole weenie! I’m totally excited about the movies coming out this summerkids and adult. I’m taking the kids bowling tomorrow. Did you know that kids can bowl two games free every day this summer before 8 pm (I think that is correct, don’t quote me) at certain lanes? You can go here for more details. https://freebowling.amf.com/

Last thing, BIG STUFF! I just hit 4,000 facebook fans! Awesomeness. I know I only frequent this thing once or more a week but I do FB every day so make sure you are following because it’s usually a funny because I need a good laugh always. Have a great day. I will be back soon. I have a summer goal to blog MORE!! Seriously. Going. To Happen.  Peace!!

Oh, and don’t ship your pants! (haha that commercial cracks me upit just came onSquirrel!)
