Yesterday, my sister and
I drove to South Lake (Dallas area) for a North Texas blogger meet up. Our
conversation on the way down was something like this:
Lins: So, do you know who
is going to be at this thing?
Me: Nope! Teacher bloggers?
Lins: So, do you know
anyone there?
Me: Nope!
Lins: And you are in the habit
of hanging with strangers?
Me: Um, Yes! Haha!
I'm sure my family thinks I am nuts because I am always off to meet some of my new real / lives inside my computer friends. Most of the girls there
were from the Dallas area and not many taught kinder but I still had a good
time. Unfortunately, the AC in restaurant was out and I was a little
sweaty. It's always fun to meet new teachers and gab about life, teaching, and
the blogging world. If was a fun way to spend my last day of summer freedom fo
sho!
Oh, and I finally got to meet the
amazing Amy Lemons. As an adoptive
mom, I puffy heart love her heart. It's nice to read someone's story and
totally get them. When she says things sometimes it’s like deja vu for me. Love
that!
Thanks to Mrs.
Patton from Mrs. Patton's
Patch and Mrs. Thompson from Adventures in Teaching who organized this get together and they did an amazing job! I even won a door prize! What? I never win anything. :)

Sorry I missed it (and you!) I had to travel to Brownsville on Sunday. Sounds like a blast except for the air conditioning thing- eek! There's probably a joke in there somewhere having to do with blast and air-con but I'm too tired to find it.
