Texas Meet Up!

Yesterday, my sister and I drove to South Lake (Dallas area) for a North Texas blogger meet up. Our conversation on the way down was something like this:
Lins: So, do you know who is going to be at this thing?
Me: Nope! Teacher bloggers?
Lins: So, do you know anyone there?
Me: Nope!
Lins: And you are in the habit of hanging with strangers?
Me: Um, Yes! Haha!
I'm sure my family thinks I am nuts because I am always off to meet some of my new  real / lives inside my computer friends. Most of the girls there were from the Dallas area and not many taught kinder but I still had a good time. Unfortunately, the AC in restaurant was out and I was a little sweaty. It's always fun to meet new teachers and gab about life, teaching, and the blogging world. If was a fun way to spend my last day of summer freedom fo sho!

Oh, and I finally got to meet the amazing Amy Lemons. As an adoptive mom, I puffy heart love her heart. It's nice to read someone's story and totally get them. When she says things sometimes it’s like deja vu for me. Love that!

  2. Sorry I missed it (and you!) I had to travel to Brownsville on Sunday. Sounds like a blast except for the air conditioning thing- eek! There's probably a joke in there somewhere having to do with blast and air-con but I'm too tired to find it.
