Moving on. I had a massage today. Don't get jealous. It was serious business. I have a wonderful massage therapist who has been working hard to fix my jacked up body...Also known as personal torture. I was totally tough today too. She has been trying to fix my neck and back issues. Apparently I carry too much stress in my butt! Who knew?!! It's a real thing. You're butt is probably stressed too. Google it. Well, that's probably not a good idea. :) Anyway, lets just say modesty has flown out the window and I don't care bc this $&@: hurts!!
Anywho, I'm so happy to be off all week. If you're not, I'm so sad for you. I had these great plans of redoing my gingerbread unit and creating my rock unit and now I guess that depends on this neck situation. It's stupid, just stupid. Yes, I said the S word. The heating pad made me do it! :)
Today I went and did something totally crazy. I know you're probably thinking bungee jumping but no, not that crazy. I had eye lash extensions put on. I asked for them to be the same length as my actual eyelashes, which are long but really thin. I didn't want them to look fake. So I'm pretty sure I could be in a Broadway play right about now or work the corner in Vegas. Haha! My sister said they look great but they are too long for me. I will definitely be cutting them down tomorrow. The good news is that they are not crazy bushy so once I cut them they should look real and I won't have to wear mascara which would be awesome. I have crazy ridiculous eyes that don't produce enough moisture at night but water like crazy in the morning ...a pain in the butt!! I'm hoping this will help. Is it weird that one eye is looking a different direction in this picture? This is a tad concerning. Also, no makeup bc I can't wear it for a day.
Are you ready for December? I have my Early Finisher Tub printed and ready to go. :) It's definitely a favorite of my tubs. I love how colorful and fun it is. I am just a Christmas nut job though!! :)
I've also got my Elf on a Shelf (AKA The Elf is Back) set ready. I made this last year but renamed it (for copywrite reasons). It's full of activities, letters from Santa and Elf, and lots of fun for your students. All classrooms need an elf! Get elfed up friends! Haha!!
Don't forget to sign up for ESGI this week for a chance to win a FREE year subscription!! I promise you WANT to check it out. It will save you tons of time!!
Oh one more thing, I'm totally excited about my gingerbread house. Before leaving school on Friday, I stayed after with my team to create our gingerbread houses. We cover our doors with brown paper and around our doors with brown paper and white for icing. When the students get back they will see our hall turned into gingerbread houses. We will have our classes make all of the decorations for each house. I'll post pics as we make progress. It's totally fun!
Oh and because and am totally wackadoodle when it comes to Christmas, I've already put up my tree. Yes I realize many people don't want to put the tree for the bird but people I am thankful every day of my life and Christmas is the greatest season in the history of the world. The end. Haha!
That's all I got. I hope this doesn't look like a hot mess since basically Siri is blogging for me. Haha! I hope you have a great week. Spend time w your family. Drink hot chocolate. Stay up late and watch movies.
I'm so THANKFUL that your a part of my life. Love and virtual hugs!!
love your randomness and i was just thinking about the eyelashes too…i love them!!!!!!!!!!!!! they look great and very natural.
ReplyDeleteJane, it took an hour because they put on individual lashes. Craziness! ;)
ReplyDeletecan't wait for the rock unit! I'm loving your science stuff, it helps so much!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI think we might be kindred spirits! I've also got my Christmas tree and decorations up (have had for 2 weeks!) and I also carry tension in my butt! Massages to get rid of it help, but are super painful. Isn't it funny how the stress can work it's way up from there to your back and neck? Hope you feel better soon. :)

Love, Laughter and Learning in Prep!
I feel your pain. I have recently had a massage because of neck and shoulder pain. I think it is too much blogging! LOL Stephanie from Principal Principles
ReplyDeleteI signed up for the ESGI free trial and the kids and I love it! They are so excited to come up and have a chance to be assessed. lol I am hoping my district will buy it for our team. I think we can customize some of the tests and we won't have to do so much recording by hand at report card time!
ReplyDeleteBy the way I revisited your post on this and you have some strange guy posting about stuff about his own product on your comments. Just thought I would let you know in case you haven't seen it.
Love your Christmas decor too! My tree goes up on my birthday every year. :)
Andrea
Love your blog and your products. I have signed up for the free trial of ESGI. We love it and were hoping the principal would purchase for our team. She has said no that it is too expensive. :( We are still working on her.
ReplyDeleteLove the eyelashes! I have been considering it since mine or so short and sparse, but I just haven't had the guts to take the plunge. Hope your neck and back feel better soon. I am so loving the Elf pack it is fantastic! I don't know who is more excited the me or the kiddos!

Great post! I love the eyelashes! I'm doing Elf on the Shelf for the first time and will check out your product. I'm looking forward to posing him around the room. Question: What app did you use to do this post? I have neck problems that keep me off my computer as well. It would be great to use SIRI sometimes. BTW- I carry my stress in my glutes and hamstrings, too. Sooo painful to be massaged there!
ReplyDeletehaha! My sis and I are getting lashes for each other for Christmas! I am hoping they last a little while! I cannot wear mascara with my contacts anymore! SO exciting!
ReplyDeleteI thoroughly enjoyed this random post....funny, educational and entertaining all at once. Your lashes look gorgeous and your tree does too!
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed Thanksgiving....I'm up in Toronto and we've already celebrated!
