Everything but the kitchen sink!

I have been through a week of technology training and my head is about to explode, seriously explode! I am super excited though. Two days was learning about google (Who knew there was so much to learn?) and two days were about mimio, ipads, etc. I have been doing PD during the day and working on my room at night. Here was my giveaway pile. It’s pretty gone now. I went through every cabinet and drawer and did some serious cleaning, organizing and purging. Man it feels good!

I also made a trip to IKEA and loaded up on goodies for my classroom. I have prices on my blog FB if you want more info.

I am super excited about my theme this year. I am doing Carson Dellosa’s Moose and Friends. They contacted me a few months ago and offered to help get my classroom ready for this year so of course I said yes. I should be done Monday and will post all kinds of pictures. Here is a sneak peak of my cubbies.

In case you didn't know, yesterday was the BEST DAY EVER (or so our family calendar says)…AKA hub’s birthday. He obviously edited the calendar to let us know. I decided to be super sweet and took his car yesterday morning (while he is at work) and get him knew tires, oil changed, and car washed for his birthday. That has nothing to do with the fact that my birthday is in two weeks, ehem. Haha!

I can’t believe that summer is OVER, seriously let’s all share a cup of tears together. It was pretty great though. I feel incredibly blessed and I seriously am over the moon excited about this year. I feel that my summer was well spent. I didn't make a lot of things but I did spend a ton of time with my kids, actually read a few books to help me this coming year, and attended some great conferences.  I feel refreshed. How about you? I shared this pic on my blog FB. I hope you aren't offended by the bad word. :)

I am not sure when there will be a sale on TPT but I am having one today and tomorrow. I don’t know about you, but time is running out. The children are coming! The children are coming! Geez Louise. Click the pic to take you to my store. :)

I have also decided to start doing Techy Tuesdays and share a new app or website with you. Have you read Lori Elliot’s new book? It’s wonderful. I had the privilege of attending a full day of sessions with her at I Teach K and man she knows her stuff! Click the pic to read more about her book. It’s good stuff!

Oh, and I forgot to announce…but we have a WINNER! Here is the winner of the Educational Outfitters $100 gift card. My stuff came in last week and I LOVE it all. J My sensory table is perfect and it doesn't take up much room which is great.

Okay, this is not teachery but are you watching Big Brother or The Dome?I don’t watch much t.v. but I am kinda obsessed with those two shows this summer. I can’t handle the Dome’s cliffhangers. It’s the ONLY reason I count down to Monday for realz!

Last but not least, I know you are all organizing and scheduling your life down to every minute so I thought I would share my calendar with you today. I realize this is for sale in my store and you may already own it but please grab the new calendar (updated for this coming year). I will have this available for the free download for a few days so grab it quickly. J
Have a great week friends.

Make sure you are following my FACEBOOK page so you don’t miss daily pics and updates.

Now, if you are like me, you are headed back to school and getting ready for the new year here is my advise for you (and myself).

  • Make a to do list every day but don't be defeated if you don't get it all done.
  • Don't start worrying about answers you don't have or things you can't control.
  • Don't expect perfection. Your classroom will be great no matter what.
  • SLEEP. Make sure you are taking care of yourself.
  • Pack lunches ahead of time. Your body needs fuel people!
  • Have fun!Laughter is the best medicine!

  3. You have a Mimio? We do too. I love mine but some days I still wish I had a SmartBoard! LOL But I'll definitely take what I can get as far as technology goes and the kids love it so that's all that matters. Your decorations are too cute.

Your hubs and I share a birthday. Glad you guys had a great day!

  9. LOVE the planner - thanks so much. just an FYI November needs to be edited as you have the first on Thursday (which was Halloween) so the first should be on Friday. Then it gets back on track! Super, super as I did not have monthly calendar pages yet and these are too cute! I actually was re-visiting your blog looking for the work mats you had for "letters in my name" and "Not in my name"...couldn't find that. Any help?? Thanks again, and for your fun posts :)

  10. Thank you for the planner, it's great! Also, love the new look! I had to make an IKEA trip this past week and picked up a couple of the stools. I'm going to try them out and see if I would like more. I liked the all of the cute button decorations they had this time. Thank you for all the great ideas! Hope you have a great year, I go back on Wednesday!
