And, I'm feeling good....
Y'all, I am so excited about my new blog design. I mean, I big puffy heart love it. I hope you love it as much as I do... probably not but I hope you like looking at it. Haha! BIG shout out to Erin at Creating & Teaching for totally bringing my vision to life!
If you are new to my blog, please "Meet the Teacher" by clicking HERE.
I am also super excited to show you my classroom. This is a first…I am completely FINISHED with cleaning, organizing, and preparing my room BEFORE I go back on contract (which is Monday). Shut the front door, right?! I did some serious cleaning and chunkingof crap the past two weeks. This year, less is more. Mission organization is underway!

A
few months ago, Carson Dellosa contacted me and wanted to share one of their
new themes with my classroom. Since I had already done the jungle theme, I decided to
branch out and chose Moose and Friends. Can I tell you that I just LOVE it?! I
love the colors and the cuteness (Yes, I am a cute lover, guilty!). I also added several other CD elements including camping borders, bird name plates, word wall letters, owl READ signs, etc. It all looks so good together! I swear if I didn't hate sleeping on the floor, I would have totally put up a tent and parked my trailer over night just so I could spend more time in my finished room. I mean, that has never happened and I didn't shed one tear in the process. Seriously, did you see pigs fly or something?
So, without further adieu,
here is my classroom. (Make sure you read to the end for a surprise!)
I realize that many people don't have home living or blocks anymore, which is total sadsville, but I do. It's part of free choice and not necessarily part of our academic day but I do think tons of learning goes on in there! I don't have a kitchen, just a basket of goodies but it's enough to get those little imaginations going. We use the block center during math for lots of stuff. It really is an asset.
I would have totally gotten rid of my desk this year but we aren't allowed to so mine is against the wall being used for storage. This, on the other hand, is my teacher table which is where I park my trailer for guided reading and conferencing. I love Carson Dellosa's reading reminders board sets. It has great visuals for me to reference during guided reading. I bought the stools from IKEA. Love! So, what do you think? You can see how my classroom looked last year by clicking here.
Are you ready for more good news? Carson Dellosa has so kindly offered to send one of my readers a Moose and Friends set (which does not include everything in my room because I added much more). You may already be back in school, but it is never too late to add some of this cuteness. So, I MOOSE ask you, do you love FREE stuff? Haha! Lame, I know. Enter below (there are several chances to enter). Winner will be chosen by Saturday, August 17th at 12:00 a.m. CST.

Your classroom is totally awesome and I LOVE your blog design!!!!!!!!
